Round 3 of ROW80 begins on July 3rd. It’s the second time I’m participating in ROW80. The first time feels like a long, long time ago but I’m happy to be back. I’m going to keep this goals post short and sweet but here’s what I plan to be up to for the next 80 days.
Write 7000 words each week. I currently have two WIPs that I’m alternating between. I can meet this goal by adding words to either one of them.
Journal everyday. My intention at the start of the year was to journal everyday, or get as close to every day as I could. It wasn’t until April that I built momentum and consistency, and in May, I only missed one day of journaling for the month. I’ve missed three days thus far in June, but I’m on a 16-day streak right now.
Read one book a week. I have a really long reading list and the plan was to read 100 books this year (to put that into perspective, last year I read 77 books and in 2015 I read 107). I had a long drought of reading in March and April and I don’t think I’m going to make it to 100 this year, so I’ve dialed my goal back to 52 books for 2017. Here are the titles that I’m hoping to complete during the third round of ROW80:
- The Sisters Brothers – Patrick DeWitt
- This Side of the Grave – Jeaniene Frost
- Turn Coat – Jim Butcher
- Surrender – Lisa Renee Jones
- The Return of Sherlock Holmes – Arthur Conan Doyle
- Ride Rough – Laura Kaye
- Entice Me – J. Kenner
- Anchor Me – J. Kenner
- Ripley Under Ground – Patricia Highsmith
- Demon from the Dark – Kresley Cole
- Just One Touch – Maya Banks
- Hard As Steel – Laura Kaye
- Hard Ever After – Laura Kaye
- The Iscariot Sanction – Mark A. Latham
- Random – Craig Robertson
Write one book review for my blog each week. Another of my 2017 goals is to post 52 book reviews to my blog. Still another goal I’ve had to dial back and now I’ll be content with 30 reviews in 2017.
Walk/Run twelve miles each week. My exercise goal for 2017 is to have 100 days of exercise for the year. As of the writing of this post I’m at 29 days so there’s lots of ground to make up but reaching my goal is still possible.
Those are my goals. I’ll be posting about my progress every Sunday and Wednesday, with the first check-in happening on July 5th.
